Driving without seatbelts – Introduction to Eskisehir

Our ride has begun! As our first task, we went to the city center of Eskisehir and spoke to the local people about the Terracotta Symposium. We interviewed several people but most of them had never heard of the Terracotta Symposium. We later realized this was because the Turkish, and more familiar name of the event is Pişmiş Toprak Symposium!

Interviewing the local people

Eskisehir is safe, beautiful and friendly to foreigners. We were very much welcomed! We were shown how to make a true Turkish kebab and we even received dancing, singing and skating lessons for free!

Now it is time for the event to actually start, so to everyone involved - Break a leg!

But maybe not literally like one of our volunteers!
Although, no worries, tea is always there - even in hospitals,
which are very good, by the way!
